👉 Position Role

  • Ensure that all cargo operations are conducted in accordance with the company and industry standards, procedures, and regulations;
  • Be the point of contact for all cargo inquiries related. Interacting with Commercial, Ops, OCC, MCC of the airlines and CHH. Including escalation communication
  • Act as an SME for all cargo loadability related inquiries, interacting with the AOCs and Commercial teams;
  • Act as the XAOC’s representative verifying safety and quality as per the legal regulations
  • Reporting and escalating cargo and aircraft loading related matters to the appropriate channels;
  • Monitoring ramp and warehouse cargo handling activities;
  • Ensuring all paperwork is in accordance with industry regulations and company standards;

🚦  Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily activity, troubleshoot, bring solutions, encourage reporting.
  • Maintain the highest level of safety of all ground ops related matters.
  • Centralize, filter and distribute ops related queries to the relevant stakeholder of the supply chain.
  • Communicate efficiently and proactively towards all main participants ( Commercial, AOC’s, GHA’s, OCC and MCC ).
  • Generate and verify the Weight and Balance of the aircraft and the Notoc, with consideration to aircraft specific restrictions, limitations, and load sequencing required to safely transport the load;
  • Produce the Loading Instructions for local station and/or (verify) for outstations;
  • Verify and ensure that the cargo build-up and aircraft loading has been done according to the latest airlines regulations, policies, and standards;
  • Assist on the actual loading of the aircraft when the schedule allows or the nature of the cargo requires it;
  • Generate a daily shift report;
  • Correct and report any deficiencies found in paperwork where necessary;
  • Regularly inspect all cargo conveyance and restraint systems for proper operation, and report any discrepancies;
  • Play an active role in the support and coordination given to local stations. ( review loadplanning, remote W&B if needed )
  • Play an active role in the set up and follow-up of charter activities ( contact with GHA’s, build up instructions, remote load planning, messages,..)
  • Proactively interfacing with the logistics team/ GSAs to ensure on time arrival of the cargo according to flight schedule;

 

đź“ś Qualifications, experience and skills

 

Education and certifications:

    • IATA DG certified
    • Weight & Balance certified

 

Experience:

    • At least 1 year of relevant experience as a loadcontroller/loadmaster on cargo aircrafts
    • Hands on experience with special loads

 

Skills:

    • Knowledge of Cargo operations:
      •  Experience in cargo buildup – required
      • Experience and knowledge in load planning – required
    • Excellent team working and interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment
    • Proven ability to influence cross-functional employees without formal authority
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to execute on multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Open minded and willingness to learn
    • Languages:
      • English is a must
      • French is a pre
    • Ability to learn & deal fast with IT ERP system
    • Ability to be reactive under stressful scenarios
